Hello Interno6!
I love your country. I was stationed there while I was in the Navy. Lived in Lago Patria north of Napoli from 1998-2001.
A 29ft Airstream is a pretty big trailer for Italy. Will you be taking it out on the roads? I'm curious what you need to modify to meet Italian laws.

Welcome.
What sorts of upgrades are required to comply with Italian laws?
Best of luck,

What upgrades?
Hitch must be CE approved, 50 mm ball
Brakes: electric brakes are forbidden and i must trasform them in the repulsion mode.
It means that the hitch is like a sort of cylinder that when you brake with the car, the inertia of the trailer push on the hitch and it actuate the brakes. it is a stupid method and i'm fighting to keep original brakes!!!
Ciao

Sounds like hydraulic brakes.
If that is all you have to do, it is not so bad--could be much worse.

Bongiorno and Welcome,
Congratulations on your Airstream and we look forward to seeing your progress and some photographs of your travels through Itailia. Maybe a shot or two at the near the Torre di Pisa or the Ponte Vecchio.
What a beautiful country. We just finished major projects in Prodenone and in Lecce. The food was great and the people welcoming.
Ciao,
Kevin

Welcome, another airstream in Europe! I am keeping the original brakes. It is possible in The Netherlands.

I work in engineering and in 2006 was involved in some gear box testing for a bascule bridge with Rossi/SMEI in Lecce. In 2008 and 2009 I worked on the Trinity River Corridor bridge project that was fabricated by Cimolai SPa in Pordenone. Spent my weekends in the Toscana region or in Cortina.
Currently working in La Coruna, Spain .
When I get back to Italia we must Andiamo a mangiare!
Ciao,
Kevin
