First Airstream

We have several friends always singing the praises of their Airstreams. We "discovered" a virtually new 2012 Eddie Bauer 25' in a storage lot near our home. We contacted the owner and bought it on the spot. It had one short trip on it and had been stored since new (range and fans still had all the warning tags attached and the holding tanks had never been "commissioned"). We purchased a new Ford F-150 Eco-Boost Platinum to pull the trailer. We are taking our first trip to Santa Fe soon.

Wow!
A "barn find" Airstream.
That is AWESOME!
Enjoy it!

Looking forward to some pictures of your awesome new rig. Where will you store it during those Colorado high country winters?

It has been stored locally for the past two winters. It reportedly sheds snow well. I know most of the other Airstreams "head south" for the winter but this seems odd to us. Why would you store your vacation home in a city that was not your travel origin or destination?

I was curious because we have considered storing ours near our Colorado cabin, rather than here in Texas. We keep it in a covered storage facility here to protect it from the high heat, hail, and rain deluges.

Welcome aboard the forum. Lots of great information through the search engine. Also, lots of opinions are available, some based upon verifiable facts and others not so much. Discerning the reality is part of the fun here.
