Alaskan Airstream Vagabond

Hello! My husband and I are new owners of a 30 foot Airstream Vagabond. We are unsure as to its exact year, but the interior is identical to a 1951 I found online, with the original exterior matching one from the mid 40s.
We were given the trailer in exchange for some work we did.
It still has a fair amount of original cabinetry, though the bathroom is now missing.
It needs work for sure, and even though we would love to fully restore it, that will not happen for many years. The sheer cost is way beyond anything we could ever do.
Our goal is to arrest further decay, and pretty it up a bit. Get the basics back into it, to make it "livable". We may well live in it for a summer, if are able to follow through with our dream of being mortgage free, and are able to sell our home and build a large cabin.

I would love help in determining more info as to what year the trailer is from, and how to go about repairing it on a shoestring.
I can get pics up at some point here, but it will be a few days, as we are swamped with another yard sale, which is going to be held in the camper due to potential wet weather this weekend.

Also, when I signed up here, I was not able to indicate which model we had in the Profile section, as the Vagabonds are not listed!

Hi, welcome to the forum. I'm sure if you can post some pictures, and serial number, someone on this forum will know what it is that you own.

"if" it is an Airstream, it will be on a plate, to right or left of door on the exterior. "If" it is a Vagabond, it will be on the left side of the door jamb. How was it you came up with the word "vagabond" on your post? "If" it is a 30 foot, 1951 Airstream, you have a seriously rare unit that was known to be built but does not exist in photos. Please post some photos, you have me very interested.

I have since learned that it is not made by Airstream. When I was beginning all my research, all that kept coming up were the words Airstream vagabond. Seems it is a common mistake, which lead to another person going down that fruitless road!
Well, it is missing its original main door (rear door is intact) so no serial number for me!
After I hold my yard sale, I will get good pics of the whole thing.
I can load up the few I do have, but they are rather dark and dingy.
