Freight Damage Claims

FREIGHT DAMAGE CLAIMS

Just this morning, we wrapped up three claims that we have had going with Airborne Express, since last year. The oldest one was last August.

The court through the book at them, and made them pay every cent we claimed, plus court costs and filing fees.

This is for the benefit of those that may have a business that does freight shipping.

They must pay you your invoiced amount to the customer. They (the freight lines) all want to pay you at cost. Don't let them get away with it.

They "MUST" pay you the invoiced amount, as long as that invoice amount is reasonable. They have no legal right to force you to produce your cost invoices. If you insure it for $500.00 and that is what you invoiced your customer, and its a reasonable price, that's it.

This holds true, at least in most states, for Fedex, UPS, Airborne Express, DHL, and motor freight companies as well.

Today was a great day in court, for the consumer.

If they insist, take them to small claims. You will win, as we did.

Certain will make my 4th, much nicer.

Andy
