I don't have the original invoices or "window stickers', but I clearly remember the splash that was started when our friends related the price that they paid for the 1964
Overlander that I now own when it was new. The cash price paid was $6,000 . . . and they later told my aunt that it was almost $800 more than what they paid for their 10' x 60' mobile home that they had purchased new the year before.
When I purchased my 1978 Minuet 6.0 Metre from the original owner, he advised me that his cash price for the trailer including hitch rigging and setting up his 1978 Ford LTD to tow the trailer was $6,000.
