That's a tough one to answer, since there are so many variables. Some insist that the longer trailers are of lesser value, so keep that in mind. I see 70's Overlanders sell anywhere from 3k ( fixer uppers) to 30k for a pristine model, one that has been redone properly.
So, if you paid around 10k for a nice original trailer with all systems working, then you're more than likely within the ball park, as you put it.
It is very common that a trailer of the vintage you're looking at will need expensive repairs, such as axles, holding tanks, metal repairs, and interior fix-ups. 72's originally did not have grey tanks, which is a popular retrofit.
