Full Timing is for the Birds...
Full timing takes planning and flexibility. It helps being retired, financially independent and have lots of tent camping experience to succeed.
Full timing requires that you can not only think like a bird, but keep up with them as the seasons change.
Airstream trailers, as well as any others I have seen, need to move with the seasons. They do not do well in 110F Mohave Desert southwest USA or Bismark, North Dakota at -15F in the winter months, when it is still...nice. Wind chill excluded if you step outside.
YOU are not thinking like a... bird. YOU are 180 degrees out of whack and thinking like a urbanized Homo sapien.
If you think and whack like a duck... you are probably going to do OK full timing in your Airstream. Whack, whack and whack and follow those geese and ducks who do not live full time in one area. Like... Denver, Colorado.
You must move with the seasons. You must be flexible in your occupation(s). You can be frugal and use the same Boondocking campsites each year or RV Parks that cater to the... Airstream duck and geese crowds... the ebb and flow of humanity towards seasonal bliss.
Latitude and Elevation are not your friends. Understand each. If you do not... whack, whack your head onto a tree stump, one or the other will get you to do it on your own.
Full Timers keep their routes secret... as the last thing they need to discover is everyone taking up the RV campsites they go to every season that they posted on a trailer forum.
If Nancy, myself and our two blue heelers were to full time... it would be an easy process.
You already know... as you camp at different locations by the season. Now you just need to fill in the spots as the sun's angle and your shadows begin to disappear at noon... or your shadow elongates towards the north... pole.
Quacking and Whacking are the Ying and Yang of Seasonal Comfort. If Indians could do this for thousands of years... maybe you are better off camped in San Diego, California and just ignored this Thread completely.
Oh, by the way... may some of us winter camp in your driveway for three or four months?

We are to start our full time journey on September 30. We will let common sense guide our way.

Hi
There are some absolutely *awesome* sights camping out on an active flyway. Just about anyplace wet will do. Don't just think like a duck, tag along with them .....
Note: This does involve *really* nasty things like getting up before sunrise. It's not for everybody . ...... if only you had someplace nice, quiet, and dark to take nap later on ....

We have a membership at Ponderosa Shadows Airstream only RV park in Lakeside, AZ at 6,800 feet in the northeast corner of AZ. It is typically 25 to 35 degrees cooler than our home plate in the East edge of the Phoenix metroplex. We typically have the Classic there as a summer cottage.
As the summer wears on, we often grab the 23D to do a few weekend jaunts to other nearby locations in the western mountains.
We have tons of snow RV folks for the winter in the Phoenix area, so we migrate to other warm cities for our outings.
