'96 Airstream Landyacht Clipper Bus
We recently purchased a 96 Landyacht Clipper Bus and it is a very rare bird only made in 95 and 96. New it was $182,000 which is probably why it is rare. While the AS purists don't think much of the AS motorhomes in general and especially the fiberglass ones, this coach does have a great shape and is different then others on the road. We like it and glad to have it in the family but I have not been able to find anyone else who has one which makes it an interesting hunt. How are motorhomers accepted at AS rallies? Would like to go to one sometime.

I've been to 2 rallies so far. There were the fiberglass AS MH at both. I've also seen them at 3 AS only WBCCI unit parks. I say enjoy your AS & love 'er well. I favor a MH anyday. I love having Tami go to the galley & make coffee while we roll. Try that in a TT.

I was just viewing the picture of your MH in your profile. Looks like PO took very good care of it as is seems to be in excellent shape. I'm sure you'll enjoy it, everywhere you take it.

It was fairly well taken care of, we had all of the windows taken out and resealed, dyed the carpet, replaced lights that weren't working and a lot of things to get it like we want it to start our road trips. It is our bucket list item that we always said we would do when we retired. Can't wait to get on the road!

We finally found a '95 Land Yacht Cutter LE in Casa Grande in March of 2008. We love it. We are full time and have been restoring and up grading as we go. There was nothing major to do, just some service and some aesthetic changes we wanted to make.
I am glad to hear we would be welcome at AS rallies and AS only WBCCI parks. We wold like to do both.
If you need any help, I have become familiar with most of the systems on the coach.
Glad to have finally heard from another square stream owner

Not sure what the differences are on the Cutter and the Clipper but know they are close cousins. Envy your life on the road and getting ready to start. Frank just had a satelitte put on ours. How do you get your internet on the road. That is something we haven't figured out yet besides being at a site with WIFI.

I added a few new pictures at the photo galley. We did not want to tackle anything big like flooring replacement so was able to find a somewhat easy to use carpet dye, I hated the aqua blue. The couch was ok but again I hated the color and just found a really nice cover at overstock.com that fit pretty well. Couple of new chairs at the table, little buff and shine and Frank has his new LCD flat screens in front and back. I know that everything is a continual update and fix in process but its feeling pretty comfy without breaking the bank so far, gotta save a little road money. Glad there are other "squarestreamers" out there. I stole that from Barnacle Bill

Very nice looking MH. What would a 1995-96 Clipper Bus in good shape sell for? Was thinking of moving up to a diesel and really like the look of your coach.

We paid $30,000 for ours in August of 2009. We think it was a fair price, we have put some more money into it to make it like we want it. In retrospect we would still buy it but were not very wise about what problems a 1996 might have including the leaks around the windows and other little things but we are working them out. The NADA was higher on the Clipper and was around $39,000. We found there were only 25 made in 1996 and not sure how many were made in 1995 so it is rare and fun trying to find any others out there. They had all the bells and whistles possible. We have had all types of RVs as our kids were growing and really like this one best of all and glad it is a diesel pusher.
