storage compartment latch

I have reset the mechanism on a side compartment several times. Now the rear compartment mechanism has failed. Is there a replacement for the latch?

latch for compartment

Look it up on the Fastenal web site. If it the latches for the low compartments they have them in stainless steel.

If you are able, always post a picture of what you specifically are referring to. Airstream used many parts and products over the years.

The compartment door handle for my Clipper was available from Airstream in 2009 along with the two lock plunger assembly's for each and the electric locking mechanism also. I just happened to be at the JC factory and picked them up there. They are probably available at any RV outlet.

storage compartment latch

Thanks to Dave, Bob and John for replies - here are pictures of the part in question. An upward pull activates a cam which pulls outboard pins inward to release the door. With wear the mechanism slips out of contact and the latch remains in an out position - as pictured. The other pic is a side view of the mechanism inside the door - showing the out-of-alignment parts

thanx again
