LY info

I have ignored all Land Yacht postings for years but now I find myself thinking of buying one.... imagine that. So a couple of questions. Sorry if this is old stuff but I don't even know enough to do a proper search. Would it be easier to pull the engine from a LY then from the old classic body M/H? Is there anything special I should look for on a '94 30'? Is there anything that I should avoid? How long should a well maintained 454 engine last? The LY seems os much more modern then my old classic 270!

I'm sure this is in the archives someplace. Thanks for your patience.
