TV Up-grade

Streamers,
I just did an up-grade of our TV's in the 345. The old ones worked ok, but no comparison to the new stuff. We went with Magnavox, great picture, and they have the 12 volt capability.
In the front, it was just a matter of taking out the old RCA, and setting the new Magnavox on the cabinet. On the road, I will just set it on the floor ahead of the cabinet. We gain a new storage bin as well.
In the bedroom, I used a wall mount attached to the back wall of the curb side closet. I made a nylon strap with snaps to hold the TV in place while driving. I drilled a 3/4" hole in the vanity top just under the original TV power and antenna ports. The wires and the hole are hidden by the curtain. I then drilled a hole in the closet wall below the counter top and very close to the curb side wall. I ran the antenna, and power wires from the regular plug in's down through the counter top, behind the drawers, and through the closet wall. I then drilled one more hole behind the TV for the wires to connect to the TV.
I used a Radio Shak 12 volt cord and a 12' coax.
The TV's work great on 12 volt, and if we are on shore power, we can just use the 110 volt adapters that came with them.
The Bedroom TV up on the wall gives my wife a lot more room on the counter top for her stuff.
Easy project, and really makes the interior look more up to date.
I purchassed the TV's at HHGregg for $250.00 each, and the wall mount was another $70.00.

I used the same bracket arm on a 17 inch TV and love it. Nice look. Have you done something to your exterior?? Your exterior picture looks like you polished your 345 since I sold it to you.

No, hav'nt not done any polishing. I hate creating extra work. On the Falcon Jets I used to fly, we had polished wing leading edges. I hated even watching the clean-up guys polishing them!
Having said that, I really would like to have my aluminum wheels polished though.
I would like to have some of my clear coat redone, along with all of the gray painted areas.
Maby next year.

what source for signal?

Are you using satellite or just cable at the places you stay? If satellite what system. We are thinking about a major upgrade to install a permanent dish like trac vision. Any experience with those types of systems? thanks

We have 3 sources for our TV viewing. We have the roof mounted antenna, the cable hook-up at the rear, and our portable satalite dish.
When we use the dish, I just connect it to the cable connection at the rear compartment, and use one of our dish boxes from home.
All I have to do is change the "source" cable at my splitter inside the cabinet under our living room TV.

Saw a new thing being done with flat panel TVs...
They slid in and out of a wall like a sideways toaster.
Was really slick.
Had a pivot you could direct viewing from after it was all the way out.
