First Shakedown Cruise

Here are a couple of pictures of our first short one day trip after purchasing our 1985 32.5 Classic last Nov. Lots of work done and still a lot to do. But the list is getting shorter. Click on the pic to enlarge.

After the shake down we went to Crandon Wis for the Sept long weekend. We will probably go up north this week to see the fall colors before the weather craps out.

That's quite the drive for a long weekend. Glad it all worked out.
We've yet to explore Wisconsin, friends tell me how beautiful it is. I love the model MH you've got - if ever I get my hands on any play money again, that's high on the list.

We'll be going down to Presqu'ile for Thanksgiving before winterizing and hunkering down for the season.

We left on the Thursday and got to Crandon on Fri around noon watched lots of racing and left to come back Sun afternoon had to back at work Tues.

I was up north of Buckhorn this morning and the leaves are at about fifty percent already. And frost is expected tonite. I would say this weekend and next will be about it. By Thanksgiving everything will be bare if we get wind or rain sooner.

Yes, I'll be dropping off the family in Toronto after Thanksgiving and then delivering the trailer to CanAm for winterizing and storage.

Although, a couple of years ago we had Thanksgiving in the backyard, warm and sunny. It really depends on the year.

We did our first shakedown cruise when we bought the 310 off of a Craigslist ad sight unseen, flew into Denver with a cashier's check, and hit the road. Having faith in American engineering and mechanics, last week after ten legs and about $4k in repairs we completed a coast to coast trip that took us to all the family that we could find and a bunch of national and state parks along the way. The 310 took the 9,500 foot Togwotee Pass into Grand Teton without missing a beat, and is resting at my mom's in Montana for the winter.

Thanks Brad
I was wondering if you were on holidays. As I haven't heard from you for a while.
