'79 Excella Mystery Box

These shots show a box which was hidden behind the gaucho bed between the drivers seat and the water heater. 3 wires (#14?) feed it from the wall.
could this be a battery isolator? I have no idea, but it looks like there are slots for 4 batteries. Any help much appreciated.

1978 24' Airstream mystery box.

This MH is just like the '78 and probably '77 Argosys. These shots show a box which was hidden behind the gaucho bed between the drivers seat and the water heater. 3 wires (#14?) feed it from the wall.

It looks like a doorbell. The thing in the center is a solenoid. comming out if it on the left (the spring loaded thing) is the plunger. when someone pushes the doorbell button, the solenoid pulles the plunger in. when the button is released the spring pushes the plunger back out to hit the chime. The black bar on the far left.

Now that you say it`s the doorbell, it makes sense. I can see the two rectangular bars that each create a tone.

It works!

Just went out and discovered the black button by the door, pushed it, and to my surprise it chimed beautfully.
Thanks all for the replys.

Yup, kinda cool eh?

The most shocking things are:
1/ It still has the cover!
2/ All the parts are there..
3/ IT WORKS!

You are so lucky!

I would be even more shocked if someone used it. No one sees the button, ever. Ya just bang on the door.... LOL.

I'm guessing the flux capacitor is the next step up from a diesel powered coach because it would definitely be an upgrade from the 454
