345 Television mounting
I am debating mounting my 32”TV above the cockpit in our 345. Anyone have a pic or knowledge of what, if any, studs run in that area? I’m thinking forward of the cabinetry. Currently it is under the cabinets on the curbside between the lounge chairs.

Unfortunately there is nothing in the front cap area that will support a tv. The plastic cap is only captured around the perimeter.
Hopefully this picture will give you an idea of what's there, or in this case, not there.

Thanks for the reply. That pic is very helpful indeed! I was able to get it mounted today. The main support screws are into the rafter. I will have additional support going down the road with support from the cabinets to the rear of the tv. If it gets wiggly I will do a better anchor of wood or metal to support it better but it does seem very sturdy for the moment. Your pic also hopefully helped out a friend here in town that couldn’t get his clearance lights to work. Didn’t know how they were wired up there. Thanks again!

Luckily T.V's today are not the weight of the old Sony XBR's; you know, the ones with the 3" of front glass, that would turn turtle if you picked them up wrong, and land on your toes.

Sony XBR...the best TV ever made! Tony, that brought a smile to my face! I had one! I loved it! I still get teased about it because for me back in those days it was a very expensive TV. What I get teased about is that it took me 3 years to actually make the decision to get one. These days I'm embarrassed to say but, we have four flat screens in the house and two in the motor home. Oh my!

I have a 42" XBR8 back-lit LED downstairs. When I heard Sony was discontinuing them I must have phone 40+ electronic stores to find one. They weren't cheap by a long shot, (55" was originally $6,500 Canadian), even at dealer cost; which is what I got mine for.

A 55” would be hard to fit I think!!! The 32” I got is almost overkill but I think I like it. Forgive the mess in the pic.

345 Television mounting
It has three screws in the front rib. The wires are actually just run in surface conduit. If you look to the right of the tv you can just see the white along the ceiling running to the cabinet. I put the dvd and the game system in the forward most cabinet on the passenger side. I did the surface conduit cause I didn’t want to cut a hole in the ceiling case I didn’t like it. I have a strap that fastens it up when traveling. The tv we have only weighs in at 10.6lbs. I took it out of the cave yesterday and drove it around KC a little and it barely wiggled. Also, the tv is Bluetooth so I have a Bluetooth cassette adaptor to route the sound through the stereo system.

It looks good, I would put the conduit on both sides to make it even and nobody would ever notice!
Hmmmm... my parents bought a 70s palm Beach off a guy that had a 345 stored in a Kansas City cave, any chance that was you?
Man those caves are nice... and I don't just say that about any old cave

Haha! Nah, not me! I do have a 65 Safari down there as well though. I just may run the council down the other side. That is a good idea. I am fixin to paint the ceiling like I did in the bedroom so that will help to hide it as well.
