Does anyone know if it is reasonably possible to modify the Sport 22FB:

1. add or expand the more fresh water capacity ?
2. add or expand the gray and or black water capacity?
3. add or expand the rooftop solar panel maximum capacity?

I guess all “can” be done, it’s just a matter as to what effort and $$ you are willing to expend for said upgrade

I’d say
1. Freshwater Carry a Jerry Can
2. gray/black Carry a BlueBoy
3. Solar. You can probably get 400 watts up on the roof and another 200 watts portable.

How much solar do you actually need? Your first best path is to look at reducing how much battery you consume, then look at maximizing the charge window you have (lithium batteries?)...and then perhaps look at how to get more solar. The best way to get more than what will fit on the roof are solar suitcases.

Welcome AACreek! I towed my 2016 22'FB Bambi with a 2007 Tacoma for 15000 miles (until a recall on the frame & rebuilding issues!) I suggest you keep it at 60mph unless you need to pass, even then only up to about 65mph. Cargo storage in the camper is extremely important so don't carry weight in the bathroom...keep it forward. CanAm also noted that the Sport tows better with full freshwater tank. Do weigh your truck alone, and then truck fully loaded with camper. It is easy to carry too much so please be aware of your weight limits.

I now have a Tundra and after getting used to it, do like the heavier brakes and V8...but pay for it with gas mileage. Oh well there are trade-offs.

We are getting a bed cover regardless for secure storage. Maybe that will help. Towing on the way home was fine, not too many issues with sway. I am not crazy about the eaz lift with the sway bar. I really liked the Andersen we had with our previous trailer.

Also is a picture of some items that “shook” out onto the floor. I am hoping they were just left behind during construction and not anything important.

Unstable towing...

The AS rear looks a bit low...get level and check weight distribution. (returned weight to TV front axle and proper TW when hitched & loaded).
Shorten up your chains & cross under/between the WD bars.

We are brand new with our first RV is a 22 FB Sport. We took delivery 12/4. We have a Voyager Digital Wireless Monitor that I am having trouble getting paired.

The coach is in the driveway plugged into city power.
I backed the TV up and plugged in to the coach.
I followed the. Pairing instructions and it failed each time.
One of the responses was to turn them power onto the camera. I don’t see any switches on the camera so I am uncertain if the camera is not receiving power from the factory’s wiring or if I am missing something in the set up

The coach is not hooked up to the TV should I unplug city power or is this an install error and dealer help is required

Try plugging in the umbilical and turning on the running lights on your tow vehicle.

Some cameras are wired directly to clearance lights to get power.

That’s the way I wired mine when I installed them. I drive with all lights on whenever I am towing so hopefully I am easier to see.

Is it powered by your running lights?

Just piling on about the camera.

Factory install is via the running lights. TV lights must be on to activate the camera. After that, be sure the video is set to the correct channel. If all else fails, go back to the selling dealer or the AS Mothership.

Simple answer $$. The vent would add both weight (not much) and cost. The 22FB is a single axle and sells for under $60k. Keeping weight under gross 4000ibs is a huge marketing tool.

Msherw - My last AS was a 19' Int'l Bambi and it had a stove vent. Given all the cautionary advice about how to prevent moisture/humidity from accumulating inside ASs, you would think a vent would be automatically included on all models.

Well AS did fit the Bambis with a Fantastic Fan roof vent. It acts as a good air extractor. I guess they felt this was a cost effective way to pull cooking fumes out under most conditions. (yes one window should be slightly opened to get good cross ventilation as some said.)

Someone here said there is interior moisture buildup using the AS furnace. No. The furnace burning LP vents to the outside of the furnace housing. The only moisture build up inside is from the cooktop stove and hot water showers (and humans breathing during sleep hours). In all cases the roof vent likely is adequate.

We do most, if not all our greasy cooking on a griddle or Coleman stove outside on a picnic table. If too cold to do that, we just use the microwave for warming already cooked food. We feel the cleaner and better smelling our AS can be, contributes to our enjoyment. Would I like a Balderi vent-a-hood? Sure. Just not necessary. BTW Winnane ?? added one to his 22FB. Lot of work but sure looks great!

I'm a brand-new Texas owner of a 2019 Sport 22FB here. Got what I think to be a good (end-of-year-model) deal deal from Airstream of DFW; took delivery July 18, 2019. I'm very happy with it so far. I'm pulling with a 2019 Subaru Ascent Limited via a Blue Ox Sway Pro WD hitch. I got the wireless trailer brake controller, which works well. I made the trip up Interstate 30 to Arkansas with no drama – I just stayed in the right lane and kept the speed between 60 and 65 mph. One interesting thing I've found is that truckers here in Texas seem to be *very* considerate/deferential when you're towing.

I am also a new 2019 end of the year discount owner towing with a Pathfinder.

We have towed since mid June over 2000 miles, joined the Wally Club, already begun to make plans to be at the 2020 international convention and have already upgraded the solar and the battery. To say we are all in would be an understatement. I have found people on this thread to be quite generous with information and advice.

we upgraded the fan to the top of the line automatic fantastic fan with wireless remote. easy and not very expensive from amazon.

its a great upgrade as it much quieter, and has auto close when it rains.
now we leave it up and don't worry about rain.

to keep the kitchen humidity down, we install an exhaust fan. it is not cheap, but worth it.
to hard part to remember is too close the outside vent when leaving and to open it before using the fan.

otherwise it does a great job

One annoying issue is not being able to play the TV though the speakers when on cable or antenna. DVD works fine through speakers.

Bathroom and stove vents would have been nice.

Wish there was more exterior lighting.

Double sink is nice but lost counter space.

Towing with my Tacoma is a little shaky at 65 mph. Dealer installed weight distribution hitch. I think it was just high winds, we will see next time I tow.

I also have a 2019 Sport 22FB and towing it with a Tacoma TRD offroad with tow package. I have the anti-sway bar hitch installed and it seemed to do well, but I stay under the posted limit of 55 and haven't had an issue. I am interested in finding out how people are storing their kitchen ware. The trailer has plenty of space, but I don't like the idea of storing pots under the bed or turning my clothing closet into a pantry. I am mainly interest in keep my plates and cups from breaking (and yes, I thought about buying plastic ware). What are your ideas.
