R U Going to Alumapalooza 2013

I find it hard to believe but I cannot see where anyone has asked the question?
Are you going to Alumapalooza this year? One of the best ways to see a bunch of Airstreams with great information, incredible fun, comradery, roving happy hours, and daily prizes.

Alumapalooza 4

I hope the very talented Allison Turner makes it this year in something other than a rental car. Bring that van of yours Allison.

Start adding to this thread if your going to be there, even if your not tell us why?

Steve.

For many of us, it's too far away.. Heading to AlumaFiesta next week in Tucson instead, and hoping to have similar fabulous experience...

We went to Alumapalooza the first two years. The first one was awesome!!!!! we got enough rain to keep the dust down and the winds on the last night rocked us to sleep. It was a great event.
We wont be going back for a few more years now. There are just so many places to go and so little time and money.
Alumapalooza is a great place to meet others and see so many trailers. As well being at the factory was an experience in itself. If you havent been, consider it.
We are both very glad we went and we are looking forward to attending again in the future

Timing is all and this year's event falls on DW's birthday. Whilst she loves her Airstream, she isn't up for sharing her day with a pack of Alumaholics, no matter how delightfully eccentric they may be! Maybe next year...

I'll be going

Went to the first two years of Alumapalooza and had a great time. Gave a pass to last year, because it looked much the same as the first two. Rich has indicated that this year there will be a new lineup of seminars, so I am heading back.

Great chance to meet up with fellow Airstreamers.

Miss Rosie isn't even close to being ready for Her debut. Jonathan wants to go to one of those someday. I'm not sure how I feel, do you guys laugh at newbies? Dawn

Waiting on the lineup of Western Maryland Blues Fest before we decide this year since it's the same weekend. We loved it last year and then went to the AlumaFandango.

John, Imelda, the Rastapoodles and 5050.

Sadly, we will not be going this year. We've been the last 2 years and loved it. Due to a job change last summer we no longer have as many vacation days as we used to so hard choices must be made.

DO we laugh at Newbies, NO. We laugh with you because we have all been there. There will be a new line up of seminars, and fun. Some repeats, but they are the ones people clamor for, like Rivetmasters, etc.

So come on over to Alumapalooza 4 and enjoy the fun and frivolity!

We are looking forward to going again. This will be #4 for us too! We have had fun each and every one. We hear that there will be lots of new things to see and do.
Larry and I are signed up for parking duty again. And I am once again looking forward to celebrating my birthday with all of my "alumaholic" friends!
No, we do not laugh at Newbies! We laugh with them. We love seeing the "aluminum tents" that sometimes show up....not ready...but out having fun!
Hope to see you all there!!

Does anyone know if kids are still free in their parents' trailer? We are dying to come this year!

kiddos

Hi!
I went to the FAQ page for Alumapalooza 4 and it says that kids that are 15 and under are free in their parents rig.
Here is the link, just in case you want to read on!
Alumapalooza 4 » FAQs

If you get there, be sure and look us up! We will be the ones in the funny orange shirts, parking crew!

That's great news, thanks! Our oldest is 15 so we'd better hurry! We're planning on bringing all seven of them. We will look for you!

For anybody that's interested, I'll be doing a seminar the first day. Right now, I'm waiting for "the boss" to let me know what we'll be seminaring about. Since the one last year went relatively well, I may do something similar this time, simply grabbing a bunch of tools out of my toolbox, and explaining how they are used in the maintenance of our rigs. An Olympic rivet shaving demonstration may be in there this time, too. Once you get the hang of them, they are easy, and look good. Not knowing how to shave them, well... Your Airstream may look like it was attacked by graffiti artists from Mars.
