The New Mexico Route 66 Association is hosting a great event in June – Airstreams were part of this event several years ago and its time to do it again. This years event will be very informal in terms of a rally.
June 9 – June 11 is the date – be there or be square…
This is a “traveling” tour. We will start in Gallup NM on Thursday night, then Friday morning we will all take off for Albuquerque and tour the various towns, sites and history along the way that this highway is so famous for – traveling as much as possible on old Route 66. Friday we will stay at Enchanted Trails RV park – an old route 66 trading post.
Then on Saturday we will continue this journey to Tucumcari, New Mexico.
You will receive a nice tour guide (and some other goodies) that will describe interesting places to see and historical information along the route. You can travel together with others, or you can go your own pace during the day. Relax and enjoy the ride!
And… Don’t forget the great photo opportunities!

This rally as a great opportunity to turn back the clock to a time when life was simpler and maybe even a bit slower. Take your time, see the sights, take some great pictures – maybe have a burger and malt – or two – or three – even tune into AM radio oldies on XM 50’s radio and make believe its 1955!
