Well the wait list finally worked its way down to us, so we will be there. It's our first rally.
I see there's some interest in fishing- Sam is a NY State registered fly fishing guide and a nationally certified fly casting instructor. She'll give some free lessons if there is any interest.
See you all there!

Yes!!
My 7 year old will love some lessons!! Perhaps, for his birthday (he's now 6) in a week, I'll have to get him his own fly rod.
Thanks Wayne and Sam in advance!!

Wayne and Sam,
Great to hear that you will be going to the BB. I also enjoy Fly-Fishing and could use some pointers to improve my fly casting skills, I'll bring a few fly rods so I look forward to meeting you all.

Don't worry about being the only aluminum tent. I am in the same position as you. The wife has told me that the bathroom must be functional, the fridge must be working and that we have some sort of system set up for bedding. I filled the freshwater tank for the first time in the past 18 years and it was leaking. Now I'm really stressed. Coaching both my 5 year old and my 8 year old soccer teams does not leave me much time to convert my aluminum tent to an RV, but we will be there no matter what. We are staying at a full hook up resort near Niagara falls earlier in the week, so that should help.

Many of you have been contacting me to offer your help. I find this extremely generous and want to say thank you in advance. We have covered most of our bases and we are in very good shape at this point. Our main goal is for you to just come, relax, enjoy yourselves. I do realize that some find great pleasure in helping out and you will not be denied. My best advice for those needing this form of fulfillment would be to just jump in where ever. There is no real need for a formal assignment, just jump in where ever you see fit.
The generosity has been refreshing. We had an attendee supply all of the coffee products. An anonymous donor sent a check in for "something special for everyone". Rob has been very busy working on corporate donors also and has gotten us some very awesome door prizes. The running list to date is:
Camping World
Meyers RV
Batter Blaster
Fantastik Vent
New Hope Mills
Chobani Yogurt
Tabasco
Inland RV
I am fairly sure Rob will come on and add to the list, for he has been working hard at making that list grow. I think he is aiming for duffle bag goodie bags... thanks for doing all that Rob.
Now as a reminder, we are doing a food drive. PLEASE bring some things to help us fill up the trailer for Roots and Wings.

I was thinking about the 5 gal fresh water thing, but my water tank is now holding. I bought some of the Scotchweld DP8005. Fresh tank has been full of 50 gallons for a week and I even bounced it down the road to see if 500 lbs of water would make it leak. Now on to the fridge!

Hey:
Ga 2 is still planning on being there. The trailer is going to do some traveling this summer. Leaving next weekend for Southern Illinois. After a week I will head back to Georgia and then my son will take it to Bonnaroo in Machester, Tn. to rock out with 3 days of wild craziness and bands, bands, and bands. He will bring it back then we will clean it wash everything and then head to NY.
I am looking foward to sitting down and talking to some good airstream techs so I can get some ideas.
Brian

Martin, You think you are excited? We have been planning this for a year now. The four hosts talk multiple times a day about all the details we need to cover. Poor Rob has been driving his mow rig around the site in circles for weeks now working on that perfect manicured look. WE ARE TOTALLY STOKED MY MAN. And then there are guys like you trying to do your part like providing flags, the Coffee Czaris, The "do what benefits everyone with this check guy", the very generous corporate donations we are getting, and please do not forget the very generous person who won the Golden #80 spot and is going to give a helping hand to some local families in the area. I am so very grateful for what people are doing. It just seems so very natural to me.
And again a reminder we are having a food drive. I hope all that feel compelled will bring a bunch of canned food or non perishable food items. I, we hope we can make a significant contribution. Not those water chestnuts and cranberry relish in the back of the pantry. Things that people can possibly eat and enjoy.

Only 22 working days until the Bash... or only 4 weekends, or 30 fulls days and a wakeup!!! times a clicking!! Have made arrangements with the Fire Dept today to be on standby for the huge fireworks show!! Lifeguard being coordinated, ice on site, pool is being cleaned as we speak... ponds all mowed... up on the hill, it's looking nice!!
Yes, excitment is in the air!! Even the Bullpen is getting ready!! Just kidding - no Bull pen (well, we do, but you don't want to park in there) at the Birthday Bash!!!
