I don't know if we will be able to be there that early in the year, but we're gonna try! (Have a grandbaby birthday on the 8th and a family thing on the 9th that require our presence.)
This sounds like fun!

Uh...would that be "Salton Sea", or have they changed the name? Sounds like a blast.

Ummm, 2,000 miles one way----hubby says he doesn't want to do the drive, especially as we just came from there in October.

With all the things I've heard about this place, I gotta see it...safety in numbers, and one happy hour oughta scare everyone around('cept Leonard...)...if that doesn't do it, the fire should, tho' if ya listen to the conversations...aah, the conversations...
Michael, barring appointments, we are there, tiara and all...the tutu will have to wait for warmer weather, but the flamingo will ride again!!! Oh, yeah, WHAT sort of hat should I look for for a Slab City flamingo...?

Wow so much fun to be had
and so many different yet extraordinary hats waiting to be taken out for a walk.
What's a couple of truckloads of trash among friends?
I feel a slab coming on...

Come slabbin' Bam, I'd like to confirm you are still amongst the travelin'...actually, I just want a Bam hug!!! Michael, if I can't find a top hat, will an Aussie desert hat suffice???
The coyotes are making their choir rehearsal, and a fire is in order...I'm outta this rig for awhile...

Slabariferous
Slab city is one of the coolest spots on earth. I have been there every winter for the last six years and always had a great time. It is the way America used to be. Throw your inhibitions aside and join the fun! We will be there with the flamingos, and Ditto the wonder dog. The jam on Saturday night is not to be midssed. Invite everyone you know.

It's been entirely tooooo long since I rallied with the Scrappies.
And I have hats a plenty.
If I can escape the surly bonds of civilization...
I think there's a slab with my name on it.
*deleting events from my calendar*
Sing it with me..."high ho and cheerios, a slabbin' we will go..."

My wife and I are brand new Airstreamers ( see intro post) and will be on our maiden voyage in Arizona the whole month of January. We've been curious about Slab City for a while and I've had it on my visit list. Looks like we need to take advantage of this opportunity. We'll likely be seeing you there!!
