it's spring and I am starting to get that itch; but it is not the same one I had as a teen-ager. This one is to go camping. What was that itch????
Was out and did a walk-around of the AS and thinking that this is March and the Meat and Fire outing is only 2 months away. Getting anxious; it's been along time since I put the AS away for the winter.
So far I think there are 9 units said they are coming; but the more the merrier.
See you there, mike

Hey Mike what's that itch? Looking forward to spring and taking the camper out. Winter has not been bad but looking forward to opening up the Airstream and our get together.
Tom has been working on the inside putting in the last piece of the counter top and wall and repairing the refrigerator. Hopefully he will get to the new toilet.
See everyone soon, Tom and Sue

R U talking Chicago Dogs????
Have a good trip; I'm working on the hitch. I have been reading too much.
Getting the bike ready---be ready.
We should go fishing; the NEW Illinois record Walleye was caught in the Pecatonica River, and the rumor is that someone has broken that also from the Pecatonica river. 15 plus pounds. Both were caught near Rockford.

Fresh pan seared Walleye on an open fire. As Alton Brown would say,"That's Good Eats."
Been reading his book Feasting on Asphalt, The River Run.
He's got a recipe for Grilled Gator Tail with Lemon and Garlic Butter.
There are a lot of swampy areas on the Pec and it's been a warm winter.....

I'm going to have to pull out of the Rally. There is too much going on, on the home front at this time. I hope every one has a great time.

Over and out.

sorry Ted; U and family will be missed. If situation changes, just show up. I'm sure we can find a space and a plate of beans.

Let the Camping Season Begin

Ted, sorry you can’t make it. Hope you can make it in the Fall.
We’re ready to roll.
The winter projects are all wrapped up with the last counter installed, more tambour doors built and set in the guides, and, I finally got the fridge working on gas. We hung the new curtains today and they really look great.
I de-winterized the rig this weekend and even had time to reinforce and change the pitch of the bed so it no longer feels like you’re falling out. No.... It wasn’t just the Becks needed to watch the campfire die out at midnight. It really had developed a list outboard.
We’ll make a shake-down run to Wisconsin in a week and see everyone in Pec.
So, every one start thinking of what your open fire fare will be. Don't forget Saturday is the Pot Luck, so bring your own meat to cook and a dish to pass.
See everyone soon.

Tom.

It's the countdown to the rally. Two weeks to go. This will be the 6th year of this bi annual rally. Each time has been bigger and better. Looking forward to seeing every one and meeting the new.
We will bring "adulterated" baked beans.
See ya; mike
