Tomorrow is the big day. Maiden tow trip for "Bernard". Hopefully, he'll remember something is hitched to him.
Oil change and topped off all other fluids. Get to load it up in the morning and air up the tires for towing.
I got the kayak holder built and installed tonight on the truck tonight. It will also do nicely as a mount for the clothesline. I'm thinking about an optional platform so we can watch the sunsets and fireworks above all the other cars. With a little re-inforcement, we could even do a little cloggin' up there.
Jed Clampett, eat your heart out.
Note to self: don't forget to load the RV battery, to pack the hitch-specific sockets, and to duct-tape the hole above the windshield.

Hummmm, never thought of that. Anyone interested in updates, I can bring a Satellite phone and we can use that at $10 per minute..... Maybe not.
It will have to wait until Sunday night. First one home has to report in.

It's 1001 Lick Skillet Rd. NOT Bartlett's Ferry! Whatever you do, do not turn onto Bartlett's Ferry Rd. It is a dead end and you will have to turn around using the gated driveway of a very hostile individual who doesn't want you there. If they see you, they will stop you. Ask Lucius how he knows.
The GPS will give you erroneous info after you're on Lick Skillett. Trust me, stay on Lick Skillet and look for the big GA Power sign for campground.

Got in yesterday afternoon. Several were already here. Verizon cell works, so if you have a Verizon broadband card (wish I did) you've still got internet. I'm at Panera's in Columbus catching some WiFi and getting some grocery shopping done.
This is a beautiful campground. Great choice, Brad!

We're heading out to pick up the trailer. Please leave some of the skillet licking for us late arrivals.

Take 185 south to the Hamilton exit, turn right, steraight through stop sign, turn left onto Lickskillet (?) - first left after you go through stop sign.

I think Ike T wins the award for best exemplifying the spirit of the tHANG! Of course, he wins nothing for his efforts. All is as it should be.
Just dropped off Wanda at the campground, maybe 6-7 AS's already there. At the moment I am grabbing our utility trailer that has our kayaks - you are all welcome to use them - just please grab and wear a life preserver, thanks. We are in site 9.

Maybe nobody there has a Verizon wireless card?
Standing here staring at an empty repair shop...What a waste of my time, and my reservation!

Sunday morning
Sorry we had to depart so early this morning - duty calls. Thanks everyone for making the tHANG such a fun event for us. I will post some pictures in a few days.
BTW, I found our raffle contribution this morning, so we will bring it to Falluminum instead. Safe travels all!

OK REAL quick - a couple of quick pics and it's off to the airport.
Group photo's - humanoids and previously feathered friends. Way to go, Martin!

We had a very nice overnighter. The park was beautiful and the facilities fine, too bad they close now until April.
Easy drive down and back. Picked up and hopefully gave a few tips that will be useful, and thanks to A-Merry-can's suggestion, stopped on the way home and bought a nice blue lens for my porch light.
Enjoyed meeting the new attendees and Brad ran a great mini-rally. Thanks to Martin who was an ace on the grill and the griddle.... and his very helpful partner- Blanche.
Great seeing the trailers as usual.
Whets the appetite for Falluminum for sure.
