Sunday Morning - Potluck?

Am I correct in thinking the Sunday morning breakfast is potluck too? Somebody mentioned making pancakes and another (or two perhaps) mentioned waffles. We'll be there Sunday morning and will certainly have worked up an appetite by then. We have some bacon to contribute and can bring other breakfast type stuff if needed.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone. We'll be there Thursday evening. Then we'll be gone Friday (for football), but the trailer will still be there, and then we'll be back on Saturday around noon (everyone should be waking up by then). It will be a whirlwind tour of camping and football but it will be a weekend that we'll remember for a long time.

Go Bulls!

We have some bacon ....

but the trailer will still be there,
Semi-potluck.
Bring your morning beverage.
Bring the bacon!
We have enough pancake mix to feed a hundred including paper plates, plasticware & pancake syrup.

If someone wants to add fruit or anything else that will be cool.

We will announce a breakfast time during Sat. night's dinner.

Leave your Airstream unlocked... we will take care of it while you are at the game...

Em, you are a hoot!

I finally have the Tradewind's rear bottom covered with something other than aluminum foil, so I'm good to go in the morning. Mom, however, has backed out of the trip tonight. What can I say. She's 80, the spirit is willing, but when it's time to go the flesh is weak. She has every right to stay at the house if she wants.

This means my dog, Ms. Lulu Sugarfoot, will be attending instead of Mom's sweet and gentle Sonia. Hey, Clancy Boy and Boudreaux, watch out. She likes the boys.

This would certainly include previously made statements by said Organizer that he or she may have made while under some chemical influence or mental lapse.

This unacceptable behavior would (hopefully) be extended to his occasional BBQ provider & Airstream buddy whom said Organizer considers “handsome eye candy”.

Regarding the Sat. “potluck” schedule:
I feel rather comfortable speaking for the rally Organizer.

Thereby let it be known:

When the sun is no longer shining directly into the Pavilion and no threat to the Organizer’s cocktail (premature ice melting I believe is the main issue) we shall proceed with setting up the vast spread of food items.

The 2nd rule of pot-luck scheduling may be in effect if there is cloud cover and no direct rays to threaten previously mentioned cocktails. This rule is derived directly from the name “pot-luck”.
Simply put, if you & your pot are lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time, you may find yourself participating in a most satisfactory din-din.

Hope this addresses your concerns & answers your question,
EC

WHOA...... SO MANY RULES - do I need to wear a beret to this shin-dig or is a t-shirt tucked into the cut-off jeans OK?????

I believe we have a treat for the pot-luck and a sweet dish too so whenever the grand-poo-bah and his trusty mini-me are ready we'll be there.

Whatever the "boys" are up to, Lulu will be up to no good. You know what a wild child she is.

Kathy, we'll miss you. See you at the Falluminum!

OK, I can take a hint… I thought I was just the Big Picture guy.
Let’s target 6 pm Saturday night for the potluck dinner – everything else is optional. Martin is going to cook some chickens, I will char some burgers and dogs.
As to any Sunday morning breakfast or other meals, someone else will need to take ownership. I need to depart early Sunday morning, unfortunately.
Mileage may vary. No small animals were harmed in the creation of this schedule.
7:00 pm Auburn @ MS State
6:42 pm First soundings from the baked beans
6:00 pm Dinner served
5:51 pm Char dogs/burgers
5:17 pm Light charcoal for burgers/beer
4:57 pm Award of any rally chatchkis
4:33 pm Minnie’s Mate pulls out umbrella drinks
4:17 pm Discuss USF/Kansas game highlights
4:06 pm Chicken goes on spit
4:05 pm Beer
3:32 pm Charcoal gets lit for spit/beer (accelerants and alcohol)
3:30 pm Bulldogs @ South Carolina
12:30 pm UAB @ Tennessee

The AL highway patrol sometimes can be evident on I-85, if you are coming up that way, particuarly around of Auburn and Opelika.

Who said I was nice?

However, in a show of good faith, I will offer to be the junior assistant deputy associate grillmaster for Saturday night. This position of course entails the subsequent cleaning of grilling tools (excluding grill) and wearing of the most inappropriate eyewear, chef hat and apron available (provided by others).

That sounds an awful lot like the voice of experience there, Brad. The stories I could tell about the speed traps on Auburn. Just be careful on Wire Road!

Good to see I made it on the schedule.

So annointed! I wish I had a badge, although we don't need no stinking...

Minnie's Mate - I hope you are thinking about properly attending to the grilling team... it gets hot with those grills going. Heat prostration can be dangerous - I'd hate to see Martin prostrate himself.

Anybody know if there will be WiFi at this campground? Know it's a long shot.

Washed the truck, changed the oil (15 qts and filter), hooked up, connected, loaded with clothes and groceries, fridge been on for 2 weeks - the pups are washed (for what reason I do not know - there will be a lake) and I have prepared for my briefing in the AM......

I think we are ready......

I know we are ready......

I am so ready..........
