The meatloaf sounds mmmm good Paula. Lots of good tips. I can see a lot of things I could be doing to improve the way I make meatloaf. I love meatloaf.
I e-mailed my service list today, we shall see if all is good to go. If not I will have to wait and see you at the rally. If I do see you, save me some of that meatloaf, please.
Michelle, who's tying men up? I think Paula is following the catch and release program.

Comfort foods!!
Can't wait to sample that meatloaf Paula! I love mine with a nice blob of Louisiana hot sauce on it! Yummy--meatloaf with mashed potatoes, gravy, and homemade mac and cheese--thats a midwestern antidote to cold snowy weather. Hmmm maybe I'm going to get that on the table for Saturday's dinner...

Michelle you are making me think of Dolly Parton and Liliy Tomlin and Jane Fonda in 9-5. Any possibility you could come back in June?
Steph that mac and cheese sounds like a great dish to go with the meatloaf. How's Dave coming with the work on the Airstream? Sun shining today and I want to go camping!!!!!
Only 69 more days till rally!
Who's all coming?

Tee hee!! Oh Michelle!!
I am going to start practicing on the way south in a couple weeks...I think he's more nervous than anyone but hey I've driven/backed up tractors hauling manure spreaders, and so I really don't see what the problem is do you?
Carol, Dave's got as much done as he can until the reupholstered cushions get here. He's going to post photos on the forum at some point. The floor is done, stained, and polyed. The dinette stuff is all built. He will put the new table in after we see how the cushions affect everything.

No chance. I had to turn down an family vacation in June due to work. I do'nt get any real time off until next december. That's the price paid for having the winter off.

Well if you can park poo you can park anything!
Just take everything slow and easy. Slow starts, easy stops, slow and easy on the turns. Keep your distance from the vehicle in front of you and if someone if following too close slow down. Make them pass. Don't let the hang back there.
Travel with at least your running lights on. The silver trailer can dis-appear on a overcast grey day. I do all the time thats why I just replaced all of mine. they had over 400 hours on them. Now they are all LEDs.

Now that the snow is gone I thought I would post some green pictures of our destination. This is the pullthrough area we will be in, the chapel and the building in the area. I had an escort to the area because I couldn't find the chapel. Well, they are poor farmers afterall.

Wow thanks Carol for posting the photos--I think those pull throughs will be great. The fellow on the phone said they would need to guide us to the spots, is it pretty huge there? I can see how the chapel would be hard to find...Somehow when they said chapel I had envisioned it as being an actual building with walls and a door. Hmm. I guess we could figure out something if it rains with tarps.

Talked to Andrea at the campground
Andrea is going to have the grounds keeper put up a large tent that holds 40 with picnic tables in case of rain. He will set it up either Thursday or Friday, if that's agreeable. Whatcha think?

Did Ya Notice?
Did anyone else notice the chapel has one saving grace? .......... dang if it ain't AIR CONDITIONED!
Just among us girls, I was just a tad concerned about the "pavilion" though!!
On the matter of the tent. It might be really nice to have shelter from the sun as well as possible rain - what would be the cost, if any, for the tent? What is our current head count at this time?
I would love to, and have in many years past, enjoyed a nice glowing tan but the sun now makes me itch and the heat does me in.

Oh Annie, that's a shame. I was looking forward to meeting you - in person that is. There is, however, the on-line campfire where Rivettes will plot their next assult on the unsuspecting public and roadways! This is only the beginning 'cuz .......WE CAN TOW IT! right?! and you'll be able to make another rally on another day.

Hey you PP you don't need to work - you can just live in your Argosy and don't worry about paying bills!!!
Help me sell off some parts and we can make some cash
Nevermind I am sure there will be more - this is only the beginning!
However for some Michy's you may be able to meet up with the crazy cannucks on a fly by.
Annie and I are tossing around a week 2 day trip to Mich/Indianna - but just with my Yuk and a load of cash - to pick up an axle, fridge and hit the RVSurplus store in IN for goodies and measuring some serious RV furniture for Annie and Marvins new digs.
Peter and I were thinking of hitting Stephs over a weekend but with their schedule and Peters Spring work schedule it is just not happening. So I know the axle will fit in the Yukon along with the little celebrity fridge (yep I will tell you all about that in the "Flight of the LadyBug" thread when I get around to updating where I am at (which is NOT very far from the last time I wrote in it.)
So the next best thing would be a Rivette shopping fling for those of us who dare to go beyond the towing scene and dive head first into the reno/resto scene.
We are into stage two of our Kitchen (real house) reno and have moved onto restructuring the centre island that was a big 5X4 whomper in the middle. It is a bit tight around one corner so we are chopping it down some. The island holds the cooktop and the prep sink - which is a great little sink for the vintage trailers - that need a bit of a face lift. Not too big and not too small. Will post later on that.
So Steph to get back to you on the May 19th weekend your only free one - don't worry. Weekends are gold to all of us - so we will not tie you up.
Could need some billets though - and a date has to be set as well - must get the axle ordered and that will tell us the date. Just a matter of getting Peter out from under the cupboards and under the trailer so he can help me measure her up.

Steph, are camp fires allowed? I have a Weber fire pit with screen and cover if they will allow or perhaps they have portable rings. If not we could use a gas one perhaps, they used that at the International rally and was very ambient.
Annie that is a pita, I was looking froward to seeing you and the work on your Argosy, perhaps soon some where .
I have never used a pie iron. I think I would like a pizza type sandwich.
BTW, just got home from Ohio today, I am beat. Hit a sale at Cracker Barrel and brought home a double rocker too. I had to unhitch in front to get the rocker in the Suburban, glad I had room! Did I mention someone came over to me and was surprised that I managed to parallell park the AS at the factory?

LOL I know, wasn't that shameless of me!!! (little stir dance) What was I thinking, had I been unsuccessful...
BUPU may need a different director I am afraid. It's only for the best that I must forfeit my position in this glorious new founded organization and hereby admit that when I got home, I failed to back the AS up into the drive and hubby took over...what are those, tomatoes, rotten ones too? Cut it out you guys!! Ohhh nooooo
Pride goeth before the fall...
