Sorry to say, we won't be making this rally. Family obligations again. We will miss everyone and the great time we had last year. You will have to appoint a new fire tender and come up with a new dinner bell. Have fun and a least drink one for Grace and I.

...funny... For the 4th of July contest another Bash picture will probably win!! Those fireworks were fantastic pictures. Post more Ralph!!!

And the really cool part is I believe Airstream will either post those pictures in their newsletter or in the Airstream calendar!!

We went to the CG today to compare lists, and there is currently 28 trailers registered. There are only 4 spots left!! So if you are on the fence about joining us this year, now is the time to act. The CG will hold the 4 spots untill 7/12 and then they are taking them back and will sell them to whomever.

We made a reservation this a.m. with the CG for the Aug 20 rally. We have an 84 30ft Excella II and friends to Nancy and Richard from North Branch. We live in Lapeer and this will be the first time camping with your group.

Looking forward to a great weekend.

Hi Carol
We're in Lapeer Twp. I signed up for the forums a couple of years ago and haven't gotten too involved with it. We are members of the Mid East Airstream unit and enjoy their local rallies but do not care for the regional or state rallies. Nancy thinks your group would be more to our liking. We're not into blue berets, protocol, entertainment or politics. Glad we got a campsite for the Aug 20 rally.

Welcome aboard, glad to have you. I grew up in Lapeer and sort of all over Lapeer county, where are you in Lapeer?

Hello Anita, one thing about "us" if I can be so bold to say I am one,

While we are a group of Airstreamers within the Metro Detroit and surrounding area, many of the active Airstreamers that like to rally together are members of WBCCI, or are not members of WBCCI, or are forum rally goers or brand new TAC members. But the thing is we are rather androgynous, meaning that if you look closely you will see forum or WBCCI or Tin Can Tourists or Rivettes... women we can tow it rallies as sponsors but generally all and any...including many dedicated Ohioans come to Metro Detroit events. This one has many participants coming from far and near and has an extraordinary showing but is not a sanctioned WBCCI event but a forums get together but the officers of two WBCCI units both MD and Nova will be in attendance so you can not only greet and meet but you can sign up or get the low down of events scheduled with those units as well. It is all for fun and convenience, it is one stop shopping for airstreamers in this area.

All you need to do is show up and you will have a great time! If there are any retentive types in the area I have been blessed not having met them yet.

Actually when I counted the list there were 24 trailers registered, not 28. And 4 available spots. I guess 3 now!
