I dewinterized last night, drained the HW tank and lines then hooked up the water. To my surprise I found a leak in my cold water line under the kitchen sink. I guess less than a half gallon of water leaked from the line which had pulled loose from its fitting. I slipped it back in, tightened it and it checked out fine. I take one of the tires to the shop in the moring to plug/patch a very slow leak in the middle of the tread. I can't see a nail but whatever it is it is between the siping of two of the treads. Then it's on to get a haircut and back to the house. I'm hooked up and front axle is in the air until the tire is fixed. I'm all packed except for the frozen stuff and the King Ranch Casserole which just came out of the oven. I'll keep it iced down in preparation for reheating for the potluck dinner. Two cans of Rotels tomatoes and chilis so it ought to be RIGHT! I hope to leave by 10-10:30 and take the leisure drive to Chatsworth. See you all there.

Weather Outlook
We had some severe storms here in TN last night and early this morning and they were headed that way. What is the weather like for this weekend at the park?

The weather forecast is possible thunderstorms today and into the night. Tomorrow looks ok with a high around 80. I was there last night. Pulled in with the rain. It was wet, but a nice campground!

Indeed, the Tour came through. I was in Ellijay (the East end of Chatsworth Highway, Rt 52) and got some photos.
Now (a little after 3:00, Friday), I want to head out to the park to see who's there.

And I go there about 4:45pm, going round-about. I talked with Levon, and got his picture after he had setup in his new (and legal) site.
Craig and I got to walk and drive around to see where everyone was, and I got some pics. Levon, Rob30044, CleanLiving, davidz71, kposey, Chaplain Kent and AlanSD were there.
I am hoping to make it back there tomorrow too, and will get more pics.
And thanks to Chaplain Kent and Fran for sharing their dinner with me!

I forgot to mention NannaNetta was there too.
Sorry for the night-time ambush with the camera!
The place was just about full, so I hope people aren't planning to come down there Saturday!

North Georgia Pictures
Just got home from Fort Mountain Park. Here are a couple of the pictures I took today.
I am glad I could visit with everyone, but had to leave since the park "closed" at 10:00pm.
Craig-Thanks for the casserole! Alan-Thanks for letting me play guitar with you, I had fun.
See you in the fall, and maybe my wife and I can come camping.

Hey Phil, Man, I am so bummed out. This is the third gathering these folks have had since we got our trailer, and we still haven't been able to attend. Can you put a few forum names with Airstreams? Who is it that owns that very shinney late '50's model? Like to see that one up close some time. Looks like everybody is having a good time.

Howdy. Sorry that you couldn't make it. Neither could I, but I squeaked in a couple visits.
Levon owns and is selling the 1955 AS. His member link is as follows: http://www.airforums.com/forum...ers/levon.html
The picture with the two motorhomes shows AlanSD in the foreground and ChaplainKent up the hill. Ironically, they both came late enough that the first-come-first-taken sites were limited and they ended up next to each other.
Pics: here is the view of the mountains from Chatsworth, another look at Levon's '55 AS, a pic of mine under my canopy in my back yard, the '05 22' double-axle AS owned by CleanLivin, Rob30044 standing outside his AS, and one last pic showing the reason I am glad to have moved here (January 21 snowstorm).

Thanks, Phil. Yes, indeed, that part of the country is beautiful. We took the Girl Scout troop to Fort Mountain a few years back in October. The leaves were great. Maybe we can make the fall get together with everyone, this year!

we had a great time, as usual very laid back...enjoyed touring everyone's AS and the food gathering was especially good, with the home made beverages rating a 10. The weather after the fog cleared was spectacular.
I am posting for the Fall get together in October. Y'all come!

We are home. The trees are just starting to bud out and spring is beginning in the North. Our trip through the Georgia mountains was fabulous. The rally was one of the best we have attended. Good people, no agenda, good food, and good people, and no meetings, and did I mention good people?
After leaving Ft. Mountain we spent two nights at the "toaster ranch" Top of Georgia, then switched to a state park where we could build fires and walk the dog. Then drove to Asheville and visited friends. I drove from Asheville to North of Indianapolis, 604 miles on Sunday and home yesterday. There will be a complete trip story on the web site soon.
Thanks all for the warm welcome and fun time in Georgia.

Chaplain Kent and Fran, glad your travels through Tennessee and North Carolina went well. We are getting ready to pull out tomorrow for the Blue Grass Festival at Raccoon Mtn. Anyone close and want to join us, come on! There will be music Wednesday night through Saturday night.
We have some cell phones to send you to help with the adoption process for your son and his wife. PM me an address to send them to and I'll get them out this week.
Remember, the fall rally is October 20-22. So, ya'll come on back down now, ya hear!
