I think we could work out something like that.

Like last year my DH will bring his dent puller with air compressor to the Can Opener if anyone is interested. We'll be in lot #157 from Thursday until we leave on Monday.

Good idea, I have some parts and pieces that I would like to get rid of.

We can just pick a day and time frame and put stuff out by our trailers. Anyone know if the park would have something against that?

In the years past, people have put things out and as far as I know, the rangers were OK with it. I may bring a few things also.

Regarding "selling" stuff, I have a full-size A/C shroud that the PO left me. I can measure it if anybody is interested, but don't want to lug it down if I cannot get rid of it there.

The shroud is brand new in original box. I don't know if hardware is (or was) included, but I can look.

Can be free to good home.

On the subject of a flea market, I recently talked to the park about us selling stuff/parts - either at the clubhouse or curbside by our trailers. The official answer (and I shouldn't have asked) was no, unless we got a form approved by the state to sell stuff on state property. With that said, I would still put stuff for sale next to our trailers. Maybe have a "For Sale" sign visible from the street or just put your stuff out during the open house event where you will get lots of foot traffic.

The Topsail Hill State Park rangers have repeatedly said we are the best behaved group that comes in so I would respect their instruction on this and remember that they give us plenty of latitude on other things.

Libo,

There is no sign up for the Breakfast with the Ranger this year. The breakfast is being coordinated by the Friends of Topsail Hill (a change from the past couple of years) and is first come, first served and open to the whole campground (90 percent us anyway). I've talked to the ranger I deal with and he was going to tell the head of the "Friends" to expect a full house - about 80 people. Price will be $5 for adults and $3 for kids. Get there early to get a seat.

Everyone, I'm out of town right now and pecking on my iPhone to do this post. When I get home in a few days, I'll post the final Schedule of Events and put out some other posts with important information. Russ

Looks like we're in! (#53)

Planning to join you all in Site 53 if all goes well having just made reservations.

For those concerned with a low "kid count", we'll bring 8 of ours (#9 will cover the home front this time) to add to the noise factor.

Looking forward to a few days away from the "grind" and will be staying through Sunday night, possibly Monday if weather (and nerves) hold up.

++++++++70'S DARK WALNUT FURNITURE AVAILABLE++++++++++

I really need to clean out the barn and have the following:
1. '72 Overlander desk (2 doors with all 6 orig tubs),
2. 3-door wardrobe ('73 Sovereign) and
3. Bedroom nightstand ('73 Sovereign).

All can be had for a modest donation to the Kaes Family Band equipment fund ()

Seriously, if any interest or more information is needed (pics, etc), PM me or send email to pizzachop@windstream.net

Hope to see you all in two weeks!

Hey all, I spoke with my wife and we would like to host a family camp fire Saturday night with s'mores at our site.

A quick question for folks who have attended in the past. I understand there is no ground fires, so I have an above ground fire pit that should work, but were do they want you to set it up? Also would setting it up on cinder blocks be ok? My guess is that they don't want to scorch the grass.
