Any night but I think Friday night was mentioned earlier..... hard to keep up in this rapidly changing and fast pace thread.

The Red Bar is a small, rather local, restaurant-bar in the next (East) little town. Great food, VERY busy, kinda noisy, and lots of fun with live music (I hope). Plans are for anyone interested to go Fri early evening.

PA system
Music buffs I can bring a PA system if needed, just don't want to get thrown out of the park we may need to ask the rangers. We rent this system out to the local bars so it can get loud or we can just keep it low. We do own a full line music store so if we need anything else let me know.

True about busy - but that starts after 5:30pm or so after work for the locals. We have been there some in the past. If we arrive early enough or call ahead and have a feel for numbers of people going, I'm sure they could set us up with an area. Maybe Moosetags could check as he is a local and see what they say?

PA system sounds good, I like AC/DC, Guns n Roses, Aerosmith maybe a little S. Ray Vaughn once in a while.

Hey don't sweat it I think we can figure out where we are from and if you put push pins in the province the two would be right no top of each other
And an Arial map would have A&M's trailer beat over ours - it is 30 feet long and a heck of lot further ahead on their restore than we are....Good thing we only have 15 feet inside to do

By the sounds of this group, we don't want a campground. We want 3 days of fun and music on Max Yasgar's farm. That wouldn't be a bad thing, by the way.

We better get some more aluminum in the back section, otherwise someone will complain and they will throw the lot of us out for making too much noise and having too much fun! I can whistle in tune but that is it for my talent so I'll just sit, listen and sip Jack Daniels. Not a bad way to spend an evening.

Davis told me last year that the row with 135 and 133 that row could hear the waves. I think all the sites are large enough.

BTW, if site 110 is still available, we stayed in that site over Labor Day Weekend and it is a nice site if anyone is interested. It is a pull through and has pretty good screening for privacy. It is also at the entrance to this loop so it is convenient if you leave the park or drive/bike/walk down to the shuttle to the beach.

this is what Minnie's Mate said about the site you are considering in post #295 Tom has a 30' Airstream.
Can't wait to see your new Airstream!

the canopener band
I was told by swampbillies it was time i chimed in. (stratman - 1970 caravel). We play music for the old farts here in central florida (which i'm nearly one of) and i can't remember the last time anyone requested buffet. If anyone's up for a jam, i'm in. I play lead guitar and a little keyboard and swambillies and i both sing. i don't mind hauling my stuff up there if we'll use it. i use sequences for our professional gigs, but i'd be up for sitting around the campfire and playing my ovation with anyone else who wants to play or sing.

Ha, I laugh to myself as I sit at the computer typing while listening to an eclectic list of MP3s: Always and Forever (Heatwave), Jet Airliner (Steve Miller), Jumper (Third Eye Blind), Keep Your Hands to Yourself (Georgia Satellites), Low Spark of High Heeled Boys (Traffic).
Looking forward to camping, meeting rally-goers and hopefully touring some other trailers.
I hope to play music as well (I play rhythym guitar; Gibson Les Paul Custom electric, or Gibson B-25 12 string acoustic).

I had site 138 in Jan 2007 and that is an awesome site cause you can hear the waves from the ocean. Although Sugarfoot has that one for 2008. But any site down there for that rally is great. I sure do wish we could be there but with the DW expecting and her due date is in January it will not be wise to make that trip but we will definitely be there for the 2009 canopener rally. We had a good time in January and met a lot of great people. So go ahead and grab a site while they are available. Davis
