The rally won't be right without you guys. But I promise to bring my Eric and Brandi voodoo dolls - decked out in their new wedding togas - to the rally. We'll have that Boones Farm toast in your honor.

I'm feelin' the love.

Maybe if possible, we can meet up later in the summer. Last year a few of us went to Savannah, IL to the Mississippi Palaceds it was a very nice State Park and the views, I'll have to put up on a website at some point for those interested.

We've been to the Mississippi Palisades, too.. at the Thomson Causeway ...it was our maiden voyage with Luna.

It was a TERRIBLE trip because we were invited to go with our friends who belong to an SOB club, and the only thing they had in common was sexual orientation.
Please don't make me explain.
*****

It POURED rain the entire weekend, Luna leaked like a sieve at both living room windows because the PO had power washed her before we picked her up and the winndow seals got knocked loose, as well as we followed our "friend" (now sort of an ex-friend) down to the Preserve and he drove like a bat out of hell, really aggressive, over railroad tracks and anything else in his way.

When we got there, several of the other SOB people lined up to watch us back in.. and that went SMOOTH.. better than THEIR units. The kitchen ceiling light had fallen loose, but a screwdriver took care of that.

A few of them asked for tours, but mostly we got ignored, which I seriously took as a sign of the good old green-eyed MONSTER. Of course, we weren't all "bent the same way" but that shoudln't have mattered since we WERE invited guests.

At least we got to go somewhere, more than 20 miles from home, but after THAT, we weren't fully sold on the idea of camping. And we had a "new" old camper :-)

Of course things, as well as our travels, have brightened GREATLY since then and I highly recomment Thomson Causeway, it's beautiful.

Is that the place you're talking about, Eric?

Last year, we stayed at Mississippi Palisades State Park. You can see the basics of the park here. It's about 30-40 minutes from Galena.

Moraine

We just got our reservation in the mail and we are assigned to A07.

I hope that's in the near vicinity of the AS group?

I did specify Airstream on my application.

flamingo-kid1,
If you check out the park website, there is a campground map. A07 is right across the road from P43.
Still no news from the park on our reservation.

Thank you!

I suspected as much, but I didn't know I could look at an actual map.

happy happy joy joy

We are looking forward to finally making this rally..

We barely got to meet people last year because our unit was under repair on the exact afternoon we were suppoosed to leave.

I was SO UPSET, but remember, I brought pictures as proof of I.D.
