Water heater still giving me a headache

Thanks for all the help earlier!! HOWEVER, I changed both thermostats and now it fires up fine, runs for 2-3 min and shuts off. I cleaned out the heat exchanger, cleaned the flame sensor/ igniter and everything else I could. I'm thinking I will be in the market for a new control board??? Prob pretty expensive huh??

Might try replacing the igniter. If its bad it may not send the correct signal to the board if its not registering the heat correctly. This would cause the board to shut off the LP. A lot cheaper than a board.

Sorry, I think I was wrong. I don't think the ignitor has anything to do with this issue. I guess I was thinking about the LP in the fridge. It has a probe that senses the heat. There should be a thermocouple for the water heater also.

I'm thinking board. Ours was doing weird things when we bought the trailer, running for very short intervals, then restarting minutes later. Like you I replaced the thermostat and ECO with no improvement. A new board cleared it right up.

I want to say the one for ours was $125 or so...but it's been a while.
