I'm wondering if I have a potential water leak here. This is on the floor of the fridge compartment. The propane supply line comes up through the floor. There is some attempt to seal the opening (you can see a bit of grey sealant/putty in the middle), but it doesn't look well-sealed.
I know there is normally little or no water in this area, but I have heard a story on the forum of someone who got a lot of water here when driving in a rainstorm. And what if we get the side-to-side level wrong when we park the trailer?
Should I add sealant around the pipe, and also around the outside of the ring? What type? Would butyl rubber tape do the job (I have some on hand)?
You can run a bead of Parrbond around the edge, and on the slot in it as well. Water probably won't get in there, but it won't hurt to put some stuff there.

I'd remove the cover to check. If you remove the cover, you'll probably find the hole around the propane line as it comes through the floor is full of sealant. If it's not full of sealant, then fill it up since you have the cover off already. The cover is probably just a trim piece as the hole drilled though the floor to run the propane line is going to be larger than the pipe so they can pull it through easily. A good sealant to use would be vulkum for a large gap or parbond for a small gap.

I like your idea. I was worrying about sealing around the plastic ring, but you are right, that is not the place that needs to be water tight. I'll pull the ring off and have a look.
