For a 2004 Airstream? I would say it should not have happened so quick.

Inland Andy will log on Monday & mention running gear balance as a root cause for the failure.

It took my Airstream 39 years to have the problem you outlined. Central Florida has the parts. You may have to go to a new (to you) place to find them.

In my case, as I suspect as is yours too, the problem was an 1/8 inch aluminum line that broke. A refrigeration supply house sold me a new length of line & fittings to fix the problem. Even though I knew what I needed, I took them a sample of what I was looking for.
