1961 Refrigerator Help

Anyone have a refrigerator manual for a 1961 Bambi?

A friend of mine is working on his and unable to get it to light. Does this model have a hanging baffle in the tube, if so are there measurements, does the thermostat need to be at a certain position to light, etc. etc. etc.?
Yes there is propane, the pressure is correct, the other propane system are working, and yes, he is using fire to attempt to light it... (saving you all the time of snide/helpful comments...)
The previous owner stated it did work.

Thanks for any and all help...

Some units have a shutoff valve under the trailer for the refrigerator. If that is on, then it might be a clogged jet. My 75 fridge has a knob that must be pulled and held when lighting the fridge. After the thermocouple is heated, it can be released.

don't tell anyone but i light my '60 frig w/ a "butane plumber's torch", the "klixon" valve thingy would not click open w/paper matches, wooden matches, cigarette lighters or even those small camping trigger/lighters. i had given up and started thinking about a new refrigerator when i found the torch i had used to do some plumbing repair on my house and thought why not . . . the valve clicked and let the propane through and the refrigerator worked fine. i'm always worried that i'm going to get it too hot and wreck it somehow, so i'm pretty careful with how long i direct the flame on the valve . . . and if you don't have this type/vintage refrigerator then this probably isn't going to be any help. Good Luck.

Make sure the gas burner orifice is clean. I have had my reefer apart and junk keeps coming through the inside of the line into the orifice.
