Value of WBCCI

My husband and I are trying to decide whether or not to join WBCCI. We live in Wyoming where there is one unit for the entire state so local rallies and caravans aren't feasible. Can someone tell me what value a membership would provide without a local unit?

Tough question. I can't even imagine belonging without belonging to a unit (or two or three, as associate members). But some folks really seem to like their Member At Large (MAL) status.

If you are regular hours working folks maybe not so much. However if you have lots of free time or the ability to run away... You can go to rallies anywhere and be welcomed in as a member. Airstream rallies really are a lot of fun.

Yes, we have courtesy parking for you. About an hour North of Los Angeles.

The real benefit comes from participating in the caravans and Special Event National Rallies. This is where WBCCI is much cheaper than going with a professional company like Good Sam. You can get the Blue Beret for free on the Internet and it looks a lot better in color than black and white and has clickable links. So you do not need to pay $65 per year for that benefit. Courtesy parking might be a benefit, if you use it. You can usually talk them down on price of medical travel insurance to close to the price you will pay to the WBCCI sponsor. You either have to have lots of time available for travel or be retired to make use of the the International benefits.

We have a number of Wyoming residence who belong to the Denver Unit, 024.
Our group of merry airstreamers reaach from cheyenne and Laramie to Pueblo and into western colorado and even into northern New Mexico.
Having been to and thru Gillette numerous times, we find its an easy drive south.
We do have Unit rallies as of late have been in N, Ft Collins, and next years May Rally will be at the KOA there.
We have many fine folks and are always looking for more to join in the fun. We recently sold a Trade wind to folks in Thermopolis. We can talk airstreams, road mapping, national parks, or how to fix and item on your trailer. As was mentioned above, there is a category in the membership diesctory for overnight courtesy parking and another members driveway, or that sort of thing. It has always been a hoot for us to meet up in someones driveway. We did just that when we brought home our recently purchased Squarestream. Camped right out in from of friends house. Even got a police vaniance to park. Yay. I don't know if they will join but we have benn in contact since they took our baby home.
With email and cell phones, we are only a touch away from making contact.
So feel free to contact any of us at www.wbcci-denco.org We are all locals, here in the Intermountain West.
