4 Corners Unit is Now Accepting Applications
We've been talking, chatting, having virtual meetings, exchanging emails and its now time for us to go public. As many of you know by now, we were granted a provisional charter to form the Four Corners Unit of the WBCCI. We have had tremendous support for our efforts and we thank you all who have supported us.
For those of you who have expressed an interest in our unit, why don't you join us? Even though you are are member of another unit, you can join us as an affiliate member for only a single dollar. We promise to conduct our business online as much as possible. We also promise to keep all members informed of all the 4CU happenings via emails. Most of all, we promise to have fun. Just download the attached membership application, fill it out, include a single dollar and get it in the mail. That's all there is to it.
Hope to see ya down by the campfire.
Brad

nice app.
very officious.
please spell check. i can't.
i'm joing as an affiliate member...
however, instead of sending one dollar, i sent five.
so like sign me up 5 times.
and i signed the app, and placed a ronald reagan stamp on the envelope, so like now it's collectable, at least in my mind.

Transfer to FCU...procedure?
I am a charter member of the FCU. I joined the WDCU to lend force to the FCU unit application for a charter. I have the app in hand.. what is the procedure for transfering units to become a full member of the FCU? I want to remain an affiliate of the WDCU, they have been more than welcoming!
What is the procedure?

The procedure is to join both as an affiliate member. I didn't want my WBCCI membership to lapse so I joined the WDCU and now I'll be an affiliate of the 4CU for the remainder of the year. Next year, I'll pay my club dues through the 4CU. I'll keep my membership in the WDCU as well because they were so accomodating, I'll continue to support them. Plus, I have a number of good Airstream friends who are WDCU members.

S C Streamer ~
I didn't answer your question about being able to join up with full-blown membership in the WBCCI plus the 4CU with this application. Yes, you absolutely can. Send in the $56, $55 for the WBCCI and $1 for the 4CU, and you will have all the rights and privedges of a full member because you will be one.

The FCU is born.........
Brad... 2 rolls of pennies and my app are... in the mail .
K.Bo
My research concludes that as long as the FCU CPA can certify the signature on your check you'll be in...
As far as the stamp goes.. We are seeking nominations for the FCU Historian.
If properly preserved your application and the famous Ronnie stamp may make your application valuable in 27 and 1/2 years.... the Marilyn Monroe stamp on your app would make it even more valuable in 23 years.... and the Elvis stamp with your app and your signature.....weeheewww Ken might sell it on eBay next week to superfund the rally slush fund... party on garth....

Couple of things.....
We need at LEAST 10 new members to get our charter - as I understand it must be full members, not associate members. We should easily get that, but we need to get your payments in soon ($56) as I will be preparing for our final charter.
Anyone who joins the FCU before our charter is submitted to the IBT will be charter members (I think thats kinda cool)
One of the things I need to find out is how to transfer membership from the WDCU - I discussed this with them a while back and know we are "parking" there until the FCU accepts membership. I too plan to be an associate member of the WDCU because they are a great unit and really helped us out.
As you can see we are off to a GREAT!!! start - several popular rallies and much more to come. And.... its all because of folks like you all that have given so much support to this effort. I ditto Brad - the FCU primary commitment is to have lots fun!

You see - we have our first one line little business matter - I second Kevbo as our historian nomination I also nominate him as our official (as official as we are going to get) rally greeter.

mr. 'streamin,
are we bonding?... i believe we are...
ken j., find $5 cash in the envelope. if not, bill me, i'm a little short this month.
i picked the ronnie stamp on several levels. i'm red, my county is red, ronnie was red, az is red... dot dot dot dash dash dash dot dot dot
mr. 'bo signed the bottom of the app., it didn't say so... i sensed it, and left a sweet little note... well, a bunch of notes, like all over the app, because i love officious things...

Thanks to Airstream25 pointing this thread out.
I got the application printed. The mail will be sent next Monday. I don't particularly covet the CHARTER MEMBER slot tho in case my mail arrives before others did, just want to support a great idea.

OK - Printed out the Membership Application, filled it out, and then came to the point of writing the check. I just hate to write a check for only $1.00. The Long Beach Unit, which I am currently a member of, and the San Fernando Unit dues for an associate member are $15.00. So I wrote the check for $15.00. Will go in the mail tomorrow morning.
I need the information about how to transfer my WBCCI membership from my current unit to the FCU. In the past, I had asked to be put on the Charter Membership list.
Regards to all!

Thanks!
So I wrote the check for $15.00. Will go in the mail tomorrow morning.
Wow thanks! You really don't have to do that though - I guess that includes the price of the official FCU t-shirt - expept we don't have any FCU t-shirts, hmmm
We really don't plan to spend a whole lot of money on stuff - so the $1 should cover stuff. The only thing that has come up so far is the "official" WBCCI name badges - but I think we going to use those office supply "my name is" stickies - I suppose if anyone wants the official version, we can get one for a very nominal (I think they are like 75 cents) charge. For the sticky is all I need.
