Extended Warranty

Mercedes is offering an 8 year extended warranty on new Sprinters. Does anyone have a clue what a good street price is on these warrantys?

I can't answer the OP's question, but out of curiosity about this warranty option (because my husband and I may buy a new Sprinter one day in the future), I fished around on Google to see how it was written.

The one I found did not seem to include the emissions system, and that's the big expensive Problem Child on these vans.

Emissions may not be listed as they may be covered under a Federal mandate if the truck is diesel. On many diesel trucks the manufacture is required to warrant them to 120,000 miles and thus no need for coverage on an extended warranty.

Be very careful as to what you think is covered as there are often pissing contests between the truck manufacturer and the coach manufacturer. I have seen Sprinter owners stuck in the middle over a rear directional light. Each manufacture claiming it was the others responsibility.
