When I had the rapid clicking in the rear (sounded like a relay opening and closing rapidly), they first replaced the BIM which seemed to fix but it started again. So they replaced the solar controller which fixed the problem. Then a couple of years later (this summer
), it failed again but no clicking, just no output voltage. New controller fixed again.
AFAIK, the battery disconnect should have no effect on the solar charging.
