Battery disconnect

Hi

When The battery disconnect on (red light on) . This really means that the house battery is connected and feeding.
My solar seems to charge house battery quicker and deeper. Is that accurate?
Also either way, the clicking in the back under the lounge sometimes clicks a lot . Click click click click
And other times not so much.

Does all this seem normal?

Even with inverter on , using laptop plugged into 110 dry camping, and strong direct light, my chasis battery peaks or reads at about 12.85 and the house battery reads at about 12.51.

Does everything sound pretty healthy?

Thanks

and sorry about the topic title, i can't for the life of me edit and fix the mispelling of "Disconnect"

Ben

When I had the rapid clicking in the rear (sounded like a relay opening and closing rapidly), they first replaced the BIM which seemed to fix but it started again. So they replaced the solar controller which fixed the problem. Then a couple of years later (this summer), it failed again but no clicking, just no output voltage. New controller fixed again.

AFAIK, the battery disconnect should have no effect on the solar charging.

Your title problem is nothing, I have a thread attributed to me that I didn't start.

Does the switch actually turn the batteries on and off?

Shark I just checked it again. I was getting four blinks of the red light when I depressed the switch but nothing was disconnected. So, I checked the red manual switch under the rear couch and it seemed to be stuck. I manually moved it between off and on and then tried the switch by the door again and it turned the power off. Problem solved. My ASI is a 214.5 model and the owners manual doesn't show the switch. I was not surprised by that as I have not found the manual to be up to date or very helpful at all.
