Happy Gotcha Day Samm!

It's that time of year again...
Two years ago today my boy Samm flew from Colorado (he was driven from a shelter in Kansas to Colorado by a lab rescue volunteer) to join Kai and I at our home in British Columbia.
The two hit it off right from the beginning and were very quick to bond to one another. Everyone thinks that they are littermates. Samm is shaping up to be a great dog and every day I ask how anybody could have abandon such a great dog. Well, their loss was our gain!
Here are a few pictures from his first day home.

Being picked up at the airport

First meeting at home

The games continue indoors

Kai is obviously pleased with his new buddy

Samm is a lover of dirt

Most recent photos

Samm has been a joy and wonderful addition to my home.
Thanks for letting me share.

If I had more room I would have more cats and dogs than I do now. I have 5 of the little devils. All were rescue animals. But with a mug like this
I might have six. Happy day for Samm and for his owner.

I'm sure that both your dogs felt like they'd gone to the close thing on earth to dog heaven the day you brought them home. Then to have each other must just complete the family nicely. Perhaps we'll see you at one of the gatherings once your house is done and you get out and about with your trailer. The TCT Deming get together is a great place to "meet" fellow forum members it seems.

I love the look on Kai's face - it's like 'Thanks, my very own black lab! Just what I wanted!'

When we found Gracie she was kept in the backyard of a family that did not want her. She was not allowed in the house and had almost no contact with anyone for a year. One look in her eyes and I knew she was leaving with us that day. She was a bit wild when we brought her home and it has been a challange, but Gracie has been a great addition to our family. She is such a lover.....
