Weight distribution question for 2019 Lincoln Navigator

I have been towing a 25 rbt, 2017 international signature with a 2018 Landcruiser. Have traded for a new 2019 Lincoln
Navigator and "want" to trade up for a 28 frt 2019 signature. It comes with a little more weight ,about 450 lbs., and tongue weight of about 850. I have a Reese weight distribution/sway system for 1000#. I assume ,all will be ok by adjusting with the trailer tow system by Reece? The Navigator has a maximum towing capacity of 8300#, and with the heavy duty factory towing package it shows the tongue weight of 830#

I towed the 25ft out west for 3 weeks and had no issues, but did experience some sway during windy days.

I am fairly new to towing an rv of this size and weight.

Thanks for any advice or comments you may give me.

Welcome Aboard....👍

I would add 3 to 500lb for a fully loaded Camping tongue weight.

Example...
Our 25' AS spec 860lb TW, actual loaded for Camping at the lake...1200lb

My 2018 Serenity 28 has close to 1000 lbs tongue weight with all of my stuff in it. The 28 is a tongue heavy unit. My previous 2016 Expedition did not handle the weight well. The new Expy/Navi May do better.

Would love to hear how things go with the Navigator. We have 19 international 25fb and stop by a dealership last week look at Navigators. We are trying to decided between that or a fully loaded 1 ton truck. Both have there pros and cons. Just haven’t seen many reviews yet on towing with the latest gen navigators.

Update on towing with latest gen navigators?

Hi,

How is it going towing with the recent Lincoln navigators. We have a 2020 and a 26FBT planning to head out for the first time in the spring. Any real world experience out there with this setup?

Towing with 2019 Navigator

We tow a 2017 rbt with our 2019 Lincoln Navigator 4x4. Use Reece hitch. We had been using a 2018 Landcruiser. Both myself and wife prefer the suvrather than pickup. Tye change was immediate, as to driving comfort, much better milage, and though neither of the tv had towing issues. Landcruiser more truck feeling, navigator more luxury car feeling. The Lincoln shows about 300 lbs more towing capacity. Would like to consider the 27 ft globetrotter, and being weight conscious would think the Navigator handle it ok.
In summary, from experience with towing same As 25 trb, I love the Navigator.

auto towing specs are VERY conservative. They error on the side of safety

most vehicles are fine with 20-25% over the written limits of tongue weight, especially on the bigger vehicle, less so on the small
