Total newbie here - we're taking delivery on a 2015 FC28 next week and we'd appreciate any relevant inputs on an appropriate hitch. Our tow vehicle is a 2016 Sierra 1500 Denali (4x4 with the max tow package) and we have never towed before. Our dealer recommends Blue Ox hitches. Our first trip will be a ~200 mile drive from the dealership to home. We'd be grateful for any specific inputs (or useful links) on this very heavily discussed issue. Thanks! (We hope to be at Canopener 2017 in January)

Picking up FC 30 Bunk

Picking up new 30 Bunk on Tuesday. I purchased an Anderson Hitch. Google it many videos. Blue OX was my 2nd choice. I have researched exhaustively. Anderson and Blue OX both seem to be great products.

What's your tow vehicle?

The blue ox web page states that you can back up without unloading the WD hitch. I have Sway pro hitch since Sept, and note no difficulty backing up with WD bars in place. It is little easier to release them if are straight with TV

Wow; that post from me was back in June 2012 with our 08' 25' Safari! We pulled that AS for 2 years and 8K miles with that Blue-Ox and those 750lb bars.....which worked fine, but were too small for that rig, we later found out.
Since then, we moved on to a new 2012 25' FC Twin FB. We purchased a new BlueOx when we got this AS but this time with 1000lb bars. We have pulled over 20K miles with no issues and it works fine backing also. There are several choices out there that work great. Not sure I would change from BlueOx on next AS purchase, but you never know.

The thousand pounds bars should work great, that is what I use with our 26U and thousand pound tongue weight
