Thanks for letting me know about Enota- my parents live nearby, but the property 's too steep for a trailer. Eco and organic is a big plus for me! See you in aug-sept sometime! silver Suz

Re: Long Term
Just bought a 22' 2004 CCD, simply amazing. I am taking 6 months to a year to shoot a Documentary. Any thoughts on long term purchases to make life easier. I don't want TV, Microwave, all those "labour saving" devices. A Honda generator obviously...any other thoughts? I will be using email and internet...

This poll shows that most of us stay in ou AS for less than 30 days a year...mmmm...

Actually, I think most people represented (63.28% to date) are in the "more than 30 days" category...but I agree, the cost per night is staggering, especially for new Airstream owners....another reason to go vintage!

does it count as a "full day" for every day you only spend 10 hours in it, ripping out the interior, sub-floor and frame? if so, i better revise my poll answer!
when i'm done with this thing... BURY me in it!

Can't Beleive it . . .
I started adding it up and think we'll be in it about 50 days & nights this year. I couldn't believe the number, so I had to add it up twice. Not bad for a couple with full time jobs, but thankfully much vacation, pretty much all of it to be spent in the Airstream.
P.S. And this doesn't count the days in the driveway at home doing little projects - probably another 5-10 days there, although we're not sleeping in it at night, then.

Days Per Year
I live in a '72 26' Argosy, travel in a '78 28' Argosy MH, vacation in a '73 31' Airstream on a lot at lake Carl Blackwell in Stillwater, OK. Does this mean more than 365 days?

Even though I just got mine I have just under two weeks in it and I'm aiming for about 60 more nights. One month of that will be at a local lake in the national forest south of town so I can commute and about a month of that will be a trip to the Rockies and a trip to DC in December.
Post script: That would work out to about $75 a night if I never used it again and didnt count camping fees and gas...

going from 3 to 300
Took posession of my 30 footer just as snow started to fly up
in the high country of Colorado. Wasn't planning to use it at
all this year but got a better deal I think with the onset of
winter eminent.
Been practicing backin up driveway swails ---yeesh
Got that puppy tucked into friends side yard with 2 inches to
spare on one side, 1.5 foot on other. Won't be wanting to
do that again till it gets nice out. Planning to go full time in
near future, 1-1.5 years. chrispy1
