I have a 1977 26ft Argosy with front and side couch/beds. The side beds is unstable and wants to "rock" away from the wall. I can see that the front bed is attached to the studs in the wall, however I can't see how the side bed should be attached. There is a drain pipe and water supply (to and from the kitchen) that seems to be in the way of attaching the side bed to the wall. Any ideas on how this is supposed attached or how to fix this problem. Thanks for any help you can give.
My 1975 AS had the same problem. I replaced the side couch with another twin mattress. I secured the frame from the floor up with brackets and screws. On top of the wheel well I placed a 2x1 for a spacer and replaced the screws that had worked out of the wall. It works just fine now.

I did basically the same, I built up the frame with angle iron and attached it to the floor. It is rock solid now. The wood ledge under the window still wasn't right, it moved up and down. I pushed a 2x4 in the space under the the ledge and the 2x4 holds it solid.
