Maiden Voyage

After several months of prep, "Elli" finally made her ~500 mile maiden voyage home to Northern VA from Jackson Center.

The Jeep GC towed her much better than I anticipated but it's clear it
won't be towing her over the Rocky Mtns.

I was just at Jackson Center the day after Thanksgiving and there was a trailer just like yours parked right were yours is in the photos...

JC was not open of course, but it is in between family and home, so I thought I'd take a look.

Looks like a fun place when it's open.

You definitely need to stop in for the plant tour when they are open. This was my 3rd trip to attempt a pick up. If you were there in the afternoon, you might have seen my brother and I trying to install the Hensley hitch. Unfortunately I had the wrong parts so I had to make a return trip.

It appears we parked in the same spot during our visit to the TerraPort. Nice looking classic unit, and nice to take her in for tender loving care. Our brother-in-law had one just like that and loved it, too. Like you, we took her to JC with our old GMC 1500 and realized the trip West would need a bigger truck. Hope to see you on the road from VA to somewhere someday.
