NASA Airstreams

My son sent me this link. He has been following the VW TDI news on Jalopnik, and appreciates the site's irreverent view (he has a 2015 Passat TDI).

Anyway, this post has some interesting references to Airstreams used at the space center, and some wonderful photos.

For a short period post the end of the shuttle program that had one of the Astrovan parked up under Endeavor in the VAB before it shipped out to California.

At the time it was a little crazy as if you had access to the VAB you could get within touching distance of Endeavor.

But I wouldn't want the Astrovan as it is a rear-bath!

Yup. Met some of the folks in Houston that brought us the TV pictures from the moon. Thanked them for inspiring me as a kid. They were a bit surprised at the gratitude.

Sent from my pocket Internet using Airstream Forums
