Searching for my VIN

Hello, I am a new member and just purchased a '75 Sovereign that I am preparing to restore. I have located the model # and manuf. date on the front riveted above the left rail of the hitch, but I cannot find the vin plate anywhere. Can anyone help me out?

I have the same year and model - my VIN is on the same plate, may be hard to read what with 40 years of alm. corrosion - the guy at DMV got some dirt from the street with his finger and rubbed it across the plate - left dark stuff in the stamping of the VIN numbers so we could read them - worked great.

You will find the serial number stamped in the part of the name plate by the door next to the "Sovereign" label.
For what seems to be the thousandth time in trying to help people that have been mislead by their DMV, THERE IS NO VIN!!!

Your serial number will read something like "I31D5J6574".
