Warranty Work

t's not very often that you can find a -good- mechanic/service shop for hardly anything anymore. While most places can get the job done, there are obvious differences in the pride and workmanship that varies from shop to shop.

This being said, I've got a short 'punch-list' of warranty items to be taken care of on my '05 International. Aside from the usual shake-down items, the only thing major is the soft/squeaky floor that we've all heard about on the 04 and 05 25/28' models. The squeak has turned to an actual soft spot that flexes when you walk on it and I'd really like to get it fixed while under wrnty.

Now for my question, who would you recommend to perform service work in Florida or even the SE US? I've heard a lot about Walt's RV near Ocala -- Is Walt's an authorized warranty shop for A/S or just a restoration type outfit?

I took my Bambi in for yet more warranty work 2 weeks ago.At this point I was feeling what next & decided to have the service manager go over the trailer.I wanted it in writing that my trailer had No damage inside or out at the time of drop off.I made him sign it & date it.He was amused but stated it was a great idea.Yes it was! I got there today and someone dented the rear corner panel.Very Bad!Service manager went on vacation,man in charge ask how do they know it was not there? By 4:00 p.m I was on the road with a new rear corner panel.My point? Get it in writing!
