Thanks Airhog1
So the Company decided to name two different size trailers the same name. Just like the modern safari. I just have a hard time jumping from the model names to the trim level names like International.

It is my opinion that the importance of the model name as a referance of what the product is gets diluted by mixing two names and tossing in trim level names as models. The classic 16' Bambi is now a 16' or 19' Bambi/Safari/International/Flying Cloud that may also be a CCD. or not.

Dealer ploy may have been too strong a statement as you have to follow the companies direction, but mixing and matching the model name does water down what was the original inspiration for both the model and trim level names.
Thanks for the new owner photos on your website by the way. nice to see all those happy faces ready to head out to parts unknown.

My guess is that the Safari line was suppose to be the entry level but became so popular that Airstream introduced the Sport model to become entry level, but that left the delima of the vastly popular Safari SE that was not entry level but had the entry level moniker so now Airstrem wanted to give the line a more up-scale name and cash in on its popularity with a more up-scale price.

BINGO! Tom...kinda...the price did not seem to go up that much other than the normal yearly price increase.

I haven't kept up with prices since I haven't been in the market since we bought our 30' Safari in '06. I guess I was going by the reaction of others on this thread.

I have a 2007 Safari 25FB and I'm thinking about trading it for a 2008 Safari 27FB (If I can find one) or 2009 Flying Cloud 27FB. I love my 25FB but, I have a bad back and really struggle with making up the bed. I would appreciate any opinions or suggestions. Thanks!

Just pull to privacy curtain and forget about making the bed

Seriously - we have a queen sized sleeping bag called a Travasak that makes bed making a breeze. You might want to check them out.

We got ours through Camping World.

Thanks cosmotini...I'll check that out. But wait, don't you have a 27' International CCD FB? You have the easier bed to make.
I might be jealous...
