Airstream T-Shirts At Old Navy

Hello,

I just wanted to let the Airstream community know that one of our customers this weekend came in with a pink t-shirt, with the Airstream travel trailer logo on it. Our customer said they purchased it at Old Navy. Patrick and I headed over to Old Navy after work on Saturday, and they have in the women's department a pink Airstream t-shirt available in size XS- XL.

Cute huh?!

Yep, they have them here too, as well as another one that's yellow with a vintage trailer and a woodsy scene and it says "Visit Colorado" on it. Absoulutely perfect for our RMVAC Rally last month...not sure if they have that one everywhere, just in CO or is it customized for each state. I can post picture tonight...

Here's a link to an earlier thread with a picture of the pink one...and yes, they are licensed - at least are labeled as such on the shirt neckline.

Shari

<on edit> I found the yellow one online here

P.S. - they were 2 for $20 in the stores - be forewarned, they run small

We have been having a discussion about these on the Georgia Fall Rally thread. I bought two for my wife for her birthday. One Large and one Xlarge. I can post the sizes and not get into trouble becouse they are real cheap/thin and the sizes run REALLY REALLY small. The sales attendent kept saying "fitted" like that ment something to me . Well, it must mean "these things are small" in women talk because it ment nothing to me until I held the darn thing up. I would say the medium would fit a 5 year old, the small would fit my left hand....... The material will wash away in two or three washings. Nice logo - the young lady had no clue what an Airstream was.....

I wonder if Thor industries whored out the logo to Old Navy, or if it was done without permission?

They appear to be licensed - there is a bunch of words to that effect inside the neckline. I'm sure it's a mutual thing ~

Too bad they chose to make them in womens sizes (and obnoxious colors) only. I wonder if it's tied into the Paris HIlton/Airstream thing. Otherwise I can't imagine why they think that would appear to your usual Old Navy crowd.

I'm surprised, then, that Thor didn't approach Gap or JCrew....quality is much better than Old Navy's.

Shirt

I'm wearing mine right now. Yes I'm not a fan of hot pink. But, how often do you run into an Airstream shirt. I bought an extra on to make a pillow for my airstream. Just for a thought for anyone else. I'm going to cheese out on it and put hot pink pom poms around the edge.

Generally, I'm not a hot pink fan either, but I must say that the Airstream shirt does go will with the new shoes I bought this summer. They were both a hit at the TCT rally last weekend.

Hey, it'll match the pink flamingos! Pillow would look really cool with a flamingo print border/backing...or denim for the more sedate.

My wife got one a little while ago - they are very small for their size, very lightweight, and very pink. If you are OK with all of that they are very nice.

Since you brought it up.... My kid really likes Qucksilver clothing. When he saw they made a Quicksilver edition A/S he thought that was the bomb and has his eye on one in the future. Perusing the A/S store on the Web, the best we could do is get him a Quicksilver T shirt. You would think it would be made by Quicksilver, no? It's just an ordinary grey shirt (Hanes BFT?) with the trailer and "Quicksilver" screened on it.

That's where we got the Susan's? Found them on the old truck. Had to paw through the piles
