AC location

Where specifically does a new AC unit go on my 65 Safari. It was manufactured in OH and has a 12/2 w ground taped and marked coming out of rear wall. Also did AS install a drain line for future or what. Any help,appreciated getting warmer in ATL

River Rat I just installed a Pinguin II on my 65 Safari , at the center roof vent. You will find the 120 vac wire there, also mine had a 14/2 wire that I think was for a thermostat if used. Also I replaced the breaker box to add another 20 amp breaker. Mine did not have a drain installed ,but I was able to run one through the cabinet over the refer. The job took me less than a week , and half a day to build a scaffold above the trailer. Good luck any thing I can help you with let me know

Thank you for the info. I have already installed my ac in the same location. The wires were behind the roof rib so I drilled out the ceiling rivets and was able to snag the two wires. Tore up the 14/2 in the process and spent many hours tracing it to the front cabinet above the refrigerator. You are correct it was for a remote thermostat. I ran the drain through the cabinets to the rear and a happy cooler camper I am.
