Pleated Blind Broken
The pleated blind in the rear bedroom broke, not the blind itself, but the cords that guide and control it being raised or lowered. Now it is down, with no way of being raised, and simply flops with any motion. Would appreciate any repair hints of sources. Not sure if these blinds are original, as the owner's manual makes a very short reference to pleated blinds, but also includes information on a venetian stype blind (which we do not have).

Google "repairing pleated shades". I totally restrung a top down/bottom up shade. It took awhile and a few cuss words, but it can be done. You Can buy the cord online. Just pay attention to how you take it apart.

Hi
Make sure you get extras on the little end caps that are part of the assembly. They break when you look at them the wrong way .... I have data on this ....

The first one was hard- it's a bit confusing. But the next one was a piece of cake.

Wooden Blinds
All of a sudden - won't stay up.
Is there a way to adjust tension?

If the blinds are original horizontal day/night shade like I have, there is no tension adjustment. Either something broke or came loose.
You can read the repair instruction to get an idea of how they function.

Tightening the tension on the cords where they anchor to the wall at the bottom of the blind will get them to hold in place. Mine attach to a round plastic anchor that screws to the wall with one screw through the center of it. I just loosen the screw, give an eighth or quarter turn and re tighten the screw.

Dang! Wayne&Sam's advice is correct
I hate it when I'm wrong. At least twice now
I was thinking of the innards of the blind when I said there is no tension adjustment.
It plainly says to "adjust tension" in the instructions I provided in my prior post.
Sorry for the incorrect advice.

I was wrong once. I thought I'd made a mistake, but it turned out I was right.
